This was a "Men's Quads" and "Queen of the Beach" tournament in Williston on 11 July 2021.

I shot over 450 pictures.
When evaluating my photographs, I look for
- technical quality: focus, exposure, cropping
- is the ball in the picture?
- even better, is the ball resting on the player's arms or hands?
- is the picture dramatic (two players jousting, the player is diving)?
- can you see the player's face (no tape or arms across the face)?
- is the skill being executed well, or perhaps unusually?
- is the pose or lighting inherently interesting or artistic?
- are the player's expression, clothing, hair, or sunglasses compelling?

I try to photograph everyone, but between my schedule and the schedule of the players, I sometimes miss people. I'm sorry if that happened.

This time, I tried something new, shooting bursts of pictures to see if I could capture "before" and "after" shots. So, if you see two pictures in a row that look similar, they may be the before and after shots. First the hit, and then whether the ball went down or not.

I had forgotten how much of the game is played at the net in men's quads, so there are a lot of hitting and blocking shots. This explains why there are so many more pictures than at some other tournaments. Getting defensive shots in men's quads takes patience: there is little warning that the ball is heading to a player. So, not as many of those.
